    Small Bombs Release Gears

There are 2 types of containers for small bombs: those that are retained in the aircraft, and those that are jettisoned like a regular bomb, and release bomblets after having reached a fixed distance from the aircraft
    A. A cylindrical container (dimensions: Length. 1 m, diameter: 27 cm) containing 42 bombs type 2F, 2 Mtr. , 2C or 21 bombs type 4C or 2R (time delayed fuze) retained in the aircraft. Small bombs were released in sequence
    B. A cylindrical container similar to above, but bigger: length 1,43 m, diameter 20,8 cm. It carried 56 x 2 kg bombs. Retained in the aircraft, bombs could be jettisoned altogether
    C. Contained made by 3 cylindrical containers described at point A, with 126 bombs type 2F, 2 Mtr. , 2C or 63 bombs type 4C or 2R (time delayed fuze)
